SmartIT conquers TEDxVitosha audience
One of the pillars in the calendar of TEDx's independently organized events in Bulgaria – TEDxVitosha, took place on March 9, 2019 at the Ivan Vazov national theater in Sofia. Inspiring speakers from Bulgaria and various corners of the world told their colourful stories and shared with the audience their exclusive ideas of sustainable change on our planet. Some of them were Half-Swiss, half-Swede Anna Jelen, who has been called "time expert" since she was a child, Sri Astari Rasjid, Indonesia's ambassador to Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania, child pianists – the Deyan, Kiril and Troyan brothers, visually impaired artists Elena and Pancho Karamanski, culinary architect Sofia Yotova, writer and adventurist Philip Lhamsuren, entrepreneur Shed Simove, the Plachkov circus duo and Kiril Radev, the man who climbed Cherni Vrah without any clothes on.
One of the most active speakers was Denmark's Tina Klemmensen, an animator and illustrator, who organizes workshops and consultancies for animations using modeling clay all over the word. One of her favourite occupations is to help white-collared professionals in big companies feel like children again by playing with modeling clay on the floor in a bid to rediscover their creativity. She believes that games are a successful approach to build relationships; therefore part of her job is to consult the corporate world on ways to communicate with the rest of the people more efficiently. We supported her lecture through SmartIT, branding special boxes of modeling clay, and part of the content of the rucksacks that TEDxVitosha guests received as a gift. During the lecture, all guests had a chance to make small modeling clay figurines and rediscover their creativity like many other grown-up kids.
In the breaks between the lectures, along with the other partners in the event, SmartIT took care of the visitors' good mood by giving everyone an opportunity to play various smart table games – domino, sea chess, jenga, wooden and metal puzzles. There was also a mini-table football tournament, where each winner got a chance to take part in a sweepstake and win one of eight mini-football tables. In the end of the day, eight lucky winners and at least 200 other guests of the event took home an attractive smart toy to enjoy in their families' spare time, reminding them of the great time they had with SmartIT and TEDxVitosha. And many of the guests were able to get to know what the company does and get an insight into the way its employees change the financial industry in Bulgaria and worldwide.
